Merit Scholarship Opportunities
Magi Award
The Magi Award is a $6,000 tuition scholarship, awarded in recognition of excellence in academics and HSPT performance. The Magi Award is renewable for four years and is awarded to up to two students per school from selected Bay Area schools.
Nativity awards three merit-based scholarships to incoming freshmen.
To be considered for these awards, students should complete the following by January 31st, 2027:
Complete the application for admission.
Take the HSPT at Nativity or another school. (Other test scores are not accepted for the scholarship application.)
Upload the two requested documents below. The single application applies to both scholarships.
Recipients will be announced in
March with admission decisions.
Nativity Award
One incoming student will receive the Nativity Award, a four-year, $18,000 tuition scholarship. The Nativity Award is in recognition of excellence in academics and making a positive impact in their school or community through living their faith.
To be considered for the scholarships you will need to ensure your HSPT scores are sent to Nativity and complete the scholarship application which includes:
Essay Question - Tell us a story from your life where your faith played an important role. Attach the document here. (Suggested length is at least 400 words.)
Writing Sample - Attach an original written work that you feel showcases your best work. This can be a report, an essay, a letter, an article for a student newspaper, or something else that you wrote independently.
Cathedral Choir Award
The Cathedral Choir Award is a $4,000 tuition scholarship available to members of the Cathedral Children's Choir from Stella Maris Academy and St. Paul's School. The award is renewable for four years for students who continue their membership in the Cathedral Children's Choir while attending Nativity.
