Nativity offers a unique high school experience in a close-knit community. The hallmarks of this experience are:

Classical
Students learn about the nature of God and our world by studying the virtues of Truth, Beauty and Goodness in classic and modern texts.  We study the interconnectedness of history, art, philosophy, theology, and science.

Practical
Nativity’s Practicum course teaches foundational skills for adulthood in our modern world. Over four years, students learn how to speak to a large audience, how to speak Spanish, how to speak to a computer (python), and how to lead a family.  Students learn often untaught skills like healthy food preparation, tax preparation, budgeting, and saving for retirement.

Mathematical
We study math five days a week.  Students who learn best in a methodical fashion have extra time for deeper comprehension of core concepts.  Students who prefer a rapid pace are given space and instruction to tackle higher level concepts.  Our strong foundational math program prepares students well for the advanced mathematical sciences of Chemistry and Physics later in their high school progression.

Prayerful
As a joyfully Catholic community, thirty minutes of every day is devoted to God. Each day the whole school participates in either Mass or a Rosary said together with a prayer intention from our students.

Service-Oriented
Nativity students learn that our greatest gift is our ability to live for and serve others. We spend two hours every other week in active service to the lonely, the poor, the elderly, and even the small business owners who make our city so wonderful.

Focused
The Nativity schedule fosters focus on fewer things at a deeper level. This allows us to offer a daily free period, a late start on Wednesdays, and extensive art, music, and service blocks in the afternoons.  Our schedule fosters intensive and focused learning interspersed with significant periods of socialization, physical activity, rest and creative time.
