St. Albert Initiative

On Friday, March 13th, a large part of the school attended the St. Albert Initiative, where the students discussed and learned about the connection between faith and science. Theologians and scientists from all over the nation came together to give presentations on various topics, including The History of Life in Deep Time, where Kate Bulinski gave an overview of the history of the universe long before humans existed; Evolution: The Unexpected Elegance of Creation, where Esteban Veliz talked about how animals evolved throughout history and how it connects to Catholicism; and The Science of the First Humans, where Kieran McNulty explained how humans differ from animals because we were given reason and a soul.

Overall, this was a wonderful experience for both students and teachers alike to learn about the wonders of this world and how there is no contradiction between faith and science, but rather that they fit together in a beautiful way.
